My Favorite Chefs

Since I was young, I love to watch cooking programs on the television. It's facinating to watch the chef cutting and chopping the ingredients to make their dishes. Back then, I don't have astro or any channel services, so I can only watch the local channel. Since I'm from Malaysia, the first chef that I know was Chef Wan. He cooks variety of foods, from local delicasies to the international dishes and he also travel across the country to introduce others to variety of Malaysian foods according to the area's specialty. The increase in variety of cooking shows introduce me to other chefs like Chef Ismail, Chef Florence Tan, and Chef Zam. Different people have different style of cooking and masters different type of foods.

There are some Malaysian young chefs who've gone abroad to introduce local cuisine to other country like Chef Lian Sherson. I first seen him in one of the program in Asian Food Channel (AFC) along with his other comrades. In his show '5 rencah 5 rasa', he had shown his cooking ability besides making jokes and entertain the viewers.



Besides local chefs, I also love to watch other chefs from different countries cooking their local foods. Each of them have their own personality that makes me fall in love into cooking more. Watching their show simply makes me want to learn other culture and cook their food so I can taste it myself. Chefs like Jamie Oliver, Anna Olson, Nigella Lawson, and Rick Bayless. There are also some chefs who I knew through youtube that also have their spot in viewer's eyes such as Laura Vitale and Stephanie Jaworski.
